POST-GRADUATE MASTER IN “ORAL HEALTH IN LESS FAVORED COMMUNITIES IN ITALY AND IN LOW-INCOME COUNTRIES”

The Master – unique in Italy – was established in 2006. It prepares health professionals to perform activities in the field of solidarity and international cooperation.

The aim of the Master is to prepare the students:

• to acquire the tools to research appropriate and effective strategies to achieve equity and quality in healthcare services, even in disadvantaged contexts;
• to achieve a deep understanding of the situation and oral health conditions in low-income countries and in Italy’s most vulnerable communities;
• to learn the methodology to implement sustainable projects of solidarity and social dentistry;
• to acquire the ability to work in partnership according to the guidelines of international cooperation, to effectively contribute to a field program in its various stages of implementation, and to design concrete and appropriate responses to the oral health problems of communities.
